YEHUDA TASSA began to work in Yemenite filigree at age 6 and continued for 16 years after. He was taught by his father, who was a well-known jeweler in Yemen. He continued to work with his elder brother for many years. Later he studied aeronautical engineering and received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University. After retiring from a career in aerospace he started to revitalize the lost art of authentic filigree design, working with and teaching classes in this art in various Bay Area studios. SHERRY CORDOVA creates one-of-a-kind pieces of art jewelry inspired by exotic islands and underwater explorations. The colorful, peaceful, and varied beauty of the world's seas is evoked using imprints from found coral and lava, fine silver, fresh water pearls, and C glass. To preview designs available at the show, visit http://www.sherrycordova.com/html/pure_silver_jewelry.html KERI GORDON designs hip jewelry suitable for the symphony, a hot date, or looking fabulous everyday. Her jewelry is created from Precious Metal Clay, semiprecious stones, and sterling silver. Pieces range from understated elegance to make-a-splash attention grabbers. Keri is a member of the San Francisco Metal Clay Guild and has taught beading and wire work.
